Residential Salesperson / Designer 


Diablo Valley Cabinetry is currently looking to add a talented Salesperson / Designer to our Residential Sales Team. 

The Design Sales Representative is responsible to make the initial contact with targeted prospects and make follow-up calls to current customers for the purpose of presenting, representing and selling cabinetry. Design Sales Representative will create and present all design proposals to prospective clients. Designers will perform field measures, close the sale, finalize orders, schedule delivery and make follow up visits to ensure customer satisfaction.

Major Responsibilities

  1. Generate Residential Sales following company Sales Process.
  2. Provide Exceptional Customer Service & Covering Showroom Floor.
  3. Manage all leads, proposals and sales per company procedure.
  4. Prepare accurate detailed proposals to clients.
  5. Prepare Project Orders and track progress.
  6. Provide Client and Contractor/Installer support throughout the installation.
  7. Proactive Marketing and Business Development.
  8. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reading professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional associations

Skills & Qualifications


  • Sales Representative Skills and Qualifications with 3-5 years of experience in the following:
    • Customer Service, Meeting Sales Goals, Closing Skills, Territory Management, Prospecting Skills, Negotiation, Self-Confidence, Product Knowledge, Presentation Skills, Client Relationships, Motivation for Sales
  • Experience using a Sales Process. Must understand why using a Sales Process is important and have the ability to clearly and succinctly describe how the sales process works.
  • Minimum 5 years of Strong Design Skills.
  • Proficiency with current version of 20/20 Design Software.
  • Experience working with and ordering a variety of stock, semi-custom and fully custom cabinet lines. Understand cabinet constructions and capable of preparing detailed engineering / schematic drawings communicating design concepts and construction / installation details.
  • Strong Technical Skills including proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel & Adobe Acrobat.

  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and document well.
  • Flexible & open minded attitude. Willing to learn new concepts, products and ideas.
  • Able to Multi-task and prioritize to keep up with all project requests in a timely manner without putting the company, client or contractor behind schedule.
